Brenda Walters joined the Dyer Island Conservation Trust and Marine Dynamics Shark and Whale Tours in 2009. Originally from Durban with a background in corporate, Brenda is a published freelance journalist and one of her primary roles at Marine Dynamics is creating and ensuring consistent and effective corporate and conservation communication. Brenda has participated in various radio, television and print media interviews. Brenda also crafts the responsible tourism award applications, grant applications, and annual reports. She loves educating people around conservation issues and often does presentations to the general public including local schools. Brenda has a passion for marine pollution issues and helps manage the fishing line bin project and the storm water catchment net project. She also plays a role in the marketing efforts and has attended various international travel shows and was a speaker at World Travel Market London promoting the Marine Dynamics business model. Brenda has also served as Chairperson of Gansbaai Tourism and has contributed to various tourism campaigns.
