Wayne Murphy is an entrepreneur, Co-Founder and Partner at Hatch Blue a global venture ca focusing exclusively on the global aquaculture sector. He has been at the forefront of the support and development of innovation and cutting-edge technologies for over 15 years, working with globally successful startup companies who have raised tens of millions of dollars. He has overseen a number of high profile, high value global projects / contracts and comes with considerable experience of helping turn ideas into successful investible propositions. Wayne leads all of Hatch Blue’s global accelerator and innovation program activities supporting the development and scaling of game changing technologies and high potential founders in the aquaculture and alternative seafood sector. He is an invited speaker and contributor at global aquaculture events and encouraged and assisted the European Aquaculture Society in introducing for the first time a startup / innovation element to their annual conference, inviting startups from all over Europe to pitch their ideas and technology. Wayne has a 20 year background in investment, coaching, training and development and extensive knowledge and experience in the design, planning and delivery of global Accelerators and Innovation programs. He also consults and mentors on a number of startup programs around the globe. Wayne is a co-founder of the Women in Ocean Food Initiative which seeks to support and develop the next generation of female leaders in the Blue Economy in partnership with Conservation International
