Amélie Desrochers is an investor and global thought leader in nature-tech. She co-founded Afloat to attract more investors in the sector, which is projected to reach $180 billion annually by 2050. Afloat also facilitates ocean & nature-tech investments, and de-risk deal-making. Previously, Amélie led the development of Quebec’s blue cluster, bringing together diverse stakeholders to accelerate regional marine innovation on a global scale. With 15 years of experience as a tech entrepreneur, diplomat, and strategic advisor, she has counselled CEOs, ministers, ambassadors, and economic agencies across sectors.

She holds a BCom in Applied Economics from HEC Montréal and an MSc in International Economics from the University of Montréal.
