DOEN Foundation
The DOEN Foundation is a Dutch philanthropic organisation dedicated to supporting innovative initiatives that contribute to a green, socially inclusive, and creative society. Established in 1991, the foundation is funded through proceeds from the Dutch Postcode Lottery and the VriendenLoterij, enabling it to invest in impactful projects both in the Netherlands and internationally.
The foundation focuses on accelerating key societal transitions, particularly toward a circular economy, social inclusion, and sustainable development. It supports pioneering entrepreneurs and organisations that challenge conventional systems and develop innovative solutions to global challenges such as climate change, inequality, and resource sustainability.
Through a combination of grants, loans, and equity investments, the DOEN Foundation provides early-stage support to initiatives with strong potential for impact. In addition to funding, it plays a catalytic role by connecting changemakers, amplifying their work, and helping to scale solutions that contribute to long-term systemic change.
Driven by a belief in the power of entrepreneurship and creativity to transform society, the DOEN Foundation continues to act as a key enabler of sustainable and inclusive innovation worldwide.
