Umulinga Karangwa is a Fund Manager and Investment Advisor with two decades of experience in financial services with a focus on investments in Africa over the past 15 years.
Umulinga has raised and managed funds investing in Africa through different asset classes including listed equity, private debt and venture capital. She is passionate about developing home-grown asset managers and finding solutions for African investors to achieve impact and returns on the continent.
She is also angel investor and passionate about supporting entrepreneurs with capital and mentoring. She is a member of several African angel groups including Nairobi Business Angels, Jozi Angels and Business Angels Rwanda which she founded two years ago.
Umulinga holds an Msc in Management and an Executive Master in Tax Management from Solvay Business School, Belgium. She is also a CFA Charterholder. She speaks fluent French and English, advanced German and Mandarin and good Dutch.
